After a number of interviews over the last couple years, you have just landed a job as the GM of an NBA team. Now what?įast forward six years and you find yourself at the outset of MyGM: The Next Chapter. On a warm, May night at the 2011 Western Conference Finals in Dallas, it all came to a sudden end. Personal accomplishments long since satisfied, all that mattered to you was getting another ring. Not that long ago, you were one of the brightest stars in the NBA. As the GM of your favorite team, the decisions you make and the paths you choose will ultimately determine the fate of the franchise. MyGM: The Next Chapter is a completely new take on franchise modes with its story-driven narrative. In NBA 2K18, we are taking MyGM to the next level (and SO much more). – NBA 2K17 saw the introduction of the League Expansion feature, Dynamic Rule Changes, the Start Today game mode, the ability to upload and share your created team packages, and so much more. – NBA 2K16 introduced Team Relocation, giving you the ability to relocate your teams to new cities, and create entire new arena/court floor/uniform designs. – NBA 2K15 brought us the wildly popular MyLEAGUE mode an experience that brought forth the tenet of complete user control and customization. Your actions drove the narrative of your franchise, unlike any mode had ever done before. It put you face-to-face with your owner, staff, and players. MyGM aimed to personalize the experience of being a GM. – At the dawn of the next gen, NBA 2K14 presented us with an entirely new mode, MyGM. In the franchise landscape, we have been pushing the envelope for the entirety of the current generation of consoles:
In a space where other developers continually shy away, the team here at Visual Concepts has once again delivered a robust and thoughtful list of franchise features that will keep you coming back for more. We have used those three words to serve the NBA 2K community well for many, many years now. Those are the exact three words I lead off with last year in NBA 2K17’s MyGM/MyLEAGUE blog. Without any further ado, let’s get to what you came here for! It’s my honor to be the first person to welcome you to NBA 2K18! The team here at Visual Concepts has made some HUGE strides with the game this year, which we will be telling you about in the coming weeks.įor today, I feel privileged to kick it all off with a detailed dive into what we have done with MyGM/MyLEAGUE this year. Some of you may know me by my online handle, SimBaller. The 76ers get the one which has the worse odds.Hello 2Kers! For those of you that don’t know me already, my name is Erick Boenisch, Senior Producer on NBA 2K18. So now Boston has the choice to pick either the 76ers 2019 1st round protected pick or the Kings' 2019 1st round protected pick, whichever has the better odds to win the lottery.
Celtics to receive 2019 first round draft pick from Philadelphia 76ers or Sacramento Kings:īoston will receive the more favourable of Philadelphia's 2019 1st round pick protected and Sacramento's 2019 1st round pick while Philadelphia will receive the less favourable or the protected of these two picks. The 76ers have a first round 2019 swap deal with Boston involving the Kingsġ. This is decided by the teams that are going to trade between themselves. The team that receives the best pick gets the less favourable pick. The team that receives the worst pick deal gets the better deal or the more favourable pick. It is applicable only when 2 teams decide to switch their picks of the same draft year.
It will be better understood with an explained example below.
It means that if Team A has decides to trade swap their best for Team B's worst, they get the better pick. Trade Swap: Best is a term that is usually used in sync with the Trade Swap: Worst. This is one of the most confusing trade system.
